Make the most of your Monday
Our next Mindful Monday is this Monday 9th March 2026, 10am to 2pm at Castle Chambers Cafe, 26 Castle Street, Barnstaple.
Monday isn’t always the easiest day of the week – especially this time of year. It’s also a quieter time in town with fewer meeting places open.
That’s why Monday is the day we choose to run our warm and welcoming community café drop-ins. Whether you’re meeting a friend or grabbing a quiet moment to yourself, you can stay as long or as little as you wish.
Come inside on Monday and you will find:
- Space to Be Wellbeing CIC running their Hands on Books workshop from 10am to 12pm in the Castle Centre Hall next door. Learn to create your own miniature projects to take home. This Monday we’ll be celebrating that ‘Spring has Sprung’ with some ‘pop-ups’ of your own to create and take home. All you need to take part is make a small community contribution of £3–£6 on the day.*
- Sammy Antell, Volunteer Connector from NDVS to tell you about volunteering and the latest great ways to get involved in our local community.
- Pete from Root Cause guiding craft activities.
- Mat Verney on hand to talk to you informally about mindfulness techniques and how to incorporate these into your every day. All to promote your own mental wellbeing.
- Plenty of board games and the chance to create and connect with others or to simply chill and relax.
The café will be open to buy hot drinks, snacks or to have lunch – so please do give your support. We also have our Pay It Forward board to share the love by gifting a hot drink, snack or lunch to someone who could really need a boost.
If attending the workshop, the £5 Mindful Monday entry fee will be waived – although it would be appreciated if you could support the Café by buying a hot drink or snack while you’re there.*
